How to Freeze Surplus Eggs for Storage
It is nice to be able to set aside surplus eggs to use later - especially for times when the hens are having a break from laying. Freezing eggs for storage is quite simple.
Use a small airtight container and break the egg into it. It is best to beat the egg in the container before putting it in the freezer.
Another way is to use ice cube trays. Just beat the eggs and put them in the tray. When they are frozen solid the blocks can be put in a freezer bag.
When you need eggs just let them defrost and use them for scrambled eggs, baking, etc. |
