Background

Ducks and Chickens in Your Garden

Ducks and chickens provide hours of entertainment, supply the family with good food to eat, and teach the basics of animal husbandry.

Not only do they provide food, but they supply compost and fertilizer for the garden. There is a real feeling of satisfaction that accompanies raising these special birds.

Chicken eggs will stay fresh longer than the eggs of a duck. Eggs should be kept in a reasonable cool place or the fridge if it is very hot.

If placed in a fridge the chicken eggs will stay fresh for 3 weeks while those of a duck should be used within 10 days.
