Cheap Chicken Coop Design with a Plastic Storage Shed

Plastic Storage Sheds and Compost Bins can be used as cheap chicken coops. Plastic storage sheds are available from DIY stores.

In the coop shown below an entree/exit hatch for the chickens is made at the back of the shed. Using string and wood a hatch opening/closing facility can be added.

The back of the storage shed is leading to the chicken run. This allows coop cleaning and egg collecting using the shed doors without the need to enter the chicken run.
