Dyslexia Ayrshire - South-West Scotland

Dyslexia Ayrshire is a branch of Dyslexia Scotland, a voluntary organisation representing the needs and interests of dyslexic people in Scotland.

Dyslexia Ayrshire is maintained by a group of volunteers, mainly parents of dyslexic children.

The aim of Dyslexia Ayrshire is to 'Make a Difference' in Ayrshire and to enable and encourage dyslexic people, regardless of their age and abilities, to reach their potential.

Education and Support meetings with highly qualified speakers in the field of dyslexia. These meetings are mainly held in the Lecture Theatre, Ayr Hospital.
Partnership meetings with the three local authorities:
- East Ayrshire Council
- North Ayrshire Council
- South Ayrshire Council
An Educational Psychologist from the Dyslexic Institute who comes to Ayrshire monthly to carry out private assessments.
