RNLI Lifeboat Stations - Girvan, Largs, Troon & Lamlash
The RNLI is the charity that provides a 24-hour lifesaving service around the UK and Republic of Ireland. The RNLI has a number of different types of lifeboats for different places,
depending on the location and geographical features, and the kind of rescue work
that is carried out. The lifeboat stations are categorised in different ways,
depending on the class of lifeboat and the launching method.
There are over 230 RNLI lifeboat stations and over 70 RNLI lifeguarded beaches throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland.
