Robert Burns Poet's Path, Alloway
Poet’s Path is a connecting walkway and grassed area connecting the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum site with Burns Cottage. The Path runs parallel with Alloway Street, forming a narrow strip of public amenity parkland between the B7024 Alloway road and recreation areas at Cambusdoon sports club.
In 2011 a new sculpture “Liberty Regain’d” by Kenny Hunter was added on Poet’s Path. The sculpture, commissioned by STV, comprises a shell-cast iron figure of a fox, seated upon a tree-stump.
